The eighth statement of our basis of faith reads in part. "We believe in the victorious reign and future return of Jesus Christ who will judge all people with justice and mercy, giving over the unrepentant to eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemd into eternal life. "
The last devotional dealt with the second part, Christ's judgement of all people.
Today, we will look at the victorious reign and future return of Jesus Christ. Phillipians 2:9-10 plainly declares Jesus as Lord and king over everything!
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Isaiah 9:6 which talks about the future reign of Jesus: "for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
