Fred's Devo # 72 :"Hold on to Your Faith: Jesus Understands Your Struggles"

Key Verse: " So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." Hebrews 4:16, NLT

In today's devotional, we are encouraged to hold onto our Faith in Jesus, even when we are tried and tested. Jesus understands because he went through the same struggles and testings as we see in this passage:

"14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." Hebrews 4:14-16, NLT

Everybody struggles with weaknesses and sin. It is in those times that we need to know that God loves us and is willing to forgive us and restore us. In this passage, the writer tells us to hold on to our Faith. He reminds us that we have a High Priest in Jesus who understands what means to be human and to be tempted, tried and tested. Therefore we can run to the throne of God who is ready to provide mercy, understanding and forgiveness when we are in our greatest time of struggle and need.

When you are struggling, don't run away from Jesus, run to Him and fall in His arms.
Pour your heart out to Him! He's waiting for you!

Prayer: Father In Jesus name, I thank you for sending Jesus who understands all of my hurts, sins and struggles. Thank you for reminding me that you are ready and waiting for me to help me in my time of need. Thank you that I will find mercy and grace at your throne. THANK YOU JESUS!
In your Nane! Amen.
