"This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. 13 Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. 14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus will be returning sooner than we think! As Christians we need to wake up from our slumber and slackness and realize how late it is! We need to put off sin and unrighteous living and live as children of the Lord! We only have a limited amount of time to share the gospel with others! We cannot think and live like people in the world if we want to reach them. We have to think, act and live righteously if we are going to have an impact.
Prayer: Lord, where am I asleep? Where have I conformed to this world? Speak to your servant Lord!... Lord , I confess to you that I have been self absorbed and have not thought much about my unsaved neighbor. Help me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Help me to wake up, be alert and get busy with your priorities and purposes for me.
